2024 Summer Fellowship Program

New York, New York—June 6, 2024—Fensterstock, P.C. in collaboration with New England Law | Boston, is proud to announce its 2024 Summer Fellowship program. Fensterstock P.C.’s Summer Fellowship Program is a comprehensive 10-week summer legal program devoted to mentoring talented and driven law students. It is our honor each year to join forces with these bright Summer Fellows as they continue to develop their discipline of excellence in legal advocacy. Meet our 2024 Summer Fellow below.

Rachel Cook

Rachel Cook is a 2024 Summer Fellow at Fensterstock, P.C., a recipient of the full-tuition Sandra Day O’Connor merit scholarship, and an active law student at New England Law | Boston. Rachel is a member of the Honors Program and is on the Dean’s List. In February, Rachel participated in the University of Iowa Sports Infractions Hearing Competition where her excellent negotiation and advocacy skills were on full display. She earned 3rd place in the legal brief writing portion of the competition among many competitors.

Prior to law school, Rachel graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island in 3 years where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. After graduating, she worked at a business law firm and handled legal matters on intellectual property, business start-ups, real estate, and family law. From conducting legal research to assisting in case preparation, Rachel applied her knowledge and skills to navigate complex legal landscapes in a variety of areas and provided innovative solutions. Through these experiences, Rachel merged her academic passions and made a significant impact in her community.

Rachel also took this year to travel internationally, where she explored various cultures and observed different lifestyles. From snorkeling the great barrier reef in Australia, skydiving in New Zealand, feeding elephants in Thailand, and road-tripping through Western Europe, she gained invaluable life experiences that not only broadened her horizon but deepened her understanding of global perspectives and diverse legal systems.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle, whether that be running, hitting the gym, or traveling. She completed her first half marathon in November 2023 and plans to continue challenging herself both mentally and physically.

Rachel’s background and problem-solving abilities allow her to handle complex legal matters and offer a compassionate and considerate perspective to clients effectively and strategically.
